I got into a terrible accident when a 20-foot truck hit me from the back while I was cycling on 18th July 2011. It left me with scars on the entire left side of my body, blood clots in my stomach, and a three-part compression and spinal fracture. It took me a year to fully recover, but I was determined to get back in shape because I felt someone up there was giving me another chance to live my life right. I started working out and getting back in shape through my home gym workouts and cardio. But no matter how much or hard I pushed myself, I couldn’t get myself up to the next level. Around the same time, I got back into my favourite sport, basketball, and soon after, set up a basketball club. Training grew intensive as I started playing competitively. Over time, I started experiencing minor or moderate but chronic injuries, which limited my playing time and progress. I knew then that I really needed help from a professional, instead of trying to solve things myself. That was when I engaged the PIT. My friend introduced me to her personal trainer, Irving – I have never looked back since. Irving is informative, patient and mindful of my goals. He always explains his strategy in helping me improve my game. He is very attentive, and offers lots of useful tips on proper form and technique as we go through my workouts. The PITMASTERS do not say what you want to hear, but instead tell you what you need to do to turn your weakness into strengths. Every programme is customized to individual needs. I love the feeling of breaking new boundaries each time I train. My back problems from the accident have disappeared and where I could only last half the duration of a basketball game in the past, I can now play a full game. If you want to get fitter, stronger or up your game, the PIT is where you need to be. I have seen clients as young as five to those in their 50s enjoying their training and reaping the benefits, so age is no limit to how fit you can be.
