Nifal’s expertise means I get an optimal workout every time I train with him. After just 2 months of training, and a few litres of milk in my daily diet, I’m doing some stuff which I never thought I’m capable of.

I first started my journey into fitness training as an underweight, unhealthy and lethargic fellow. I lacked the self-motivation and time to take it seriously. Then in August 2013 I took the step forward and started my training under Nifal Johannes at the PIT, and my personal transformation began. From the very first time he introduced himself and the conversations we engaged in, I can see how well-versed and knowledgeable he is in training and fitness. We started with a couple of simple strength and movement techniques in order to access at what level my physical capabilities were at. At this point I remembered being asked to do a chin-up and with a body weight at 65kg, I couldn’t even pull myself up to the bar. After half hour of various movements I felt like throwing up. I felt defeated. Nifal worked out a plan of my starting strength training. We trained the first 8 weeks with free weights, 3 times per week, an hour of each session. It will start with a warm-up and then into squats. It included a mix of bench press, overhead press, dead lifts with more weights added onto the load each time. I am privileged to be trained by someone who I regard as a true professional in this field. Nifal is trustworthy and genuine. I thank him for the trainings, guidance, encouragement and torture… Like we said, I’ll keep my log book to show my kids someday… It’s been an amazing journey for me. This is an amazing journey so far getting to know a group of people along with Nifal who encourage each other and push each other to be better physically and mentally in what I regard as an unconventional gym will keep me going to want to better myself and achieve my goals.
